Construction Commences on First Holiday Inn Express in Australia

Tactical Group is pleased to announce that construction of Australia’s first Holiday Inn Express in Macquarie Park (Sydney, NSW) has commenced.

The 192 room quality limited service hotel is situated in the heart of the major commercial precinct and within walking distance to Macquarie Shopping centre and Macquarie University.

Richard Campbell, Director of Tactical Group said “We are delighted to be working with Pro-Invest Group on the rollout delivery of the Holiday Inn Express brand across Australia, and whilst we have had to navigate an extremely difficult local planning environment for the development of this first asset in the portfolio, it is a testament to the quality of the team that the Macquarie Park Holiday Inn Express will be the first in Australia to open in early 2016”.

Key features of the new hotel include two meeting rooms, free Wi-Fi, a fitness centre, on-site parking spaces and a breakfast area known as The Great Room.

Tactical Group is working with Pro-Invest Group, a boutique investment firm specialising in Private Equity Real Estate and Real Estate Asset Management, providing a “full service” management and delivery solution from pre-purchase, through project management and design, construction superintendence, to handover for operations.

The Holiday Inn Express brand (part of the Intercontinental Hotels Group brand stable) is currently one of the fastest growing brands in the world with over 2,317 hotels operating worldwide and an average of 2 new hotels opening every week.
