    Moorebank Intermodal Precinct: Import & Export Terminal

    This open access import-export freight terminal with ultimate capacity of up to 1.05 million TEU per annum, including on site freight rail sidings. Key features of the terminal include:

    • Direction connection to Port Botany through a dedicated rail siding and to the M5/M7 motorways for distribution of freight throughout the Greater Sydney Area.
    • On-site Quarantine and Customs
    • Locomotive traverser for improved rail productivity
       

    The Import and Export (IMEX) Terminal will be constructed to facilitate fully automated container transport from rail to warehouse.

    Tactical Group are engaged to provide project strategy, project management and contract administration services throughout all phases of the project lifecycle. Our extensive involvement in the planning, functional layout and design, procurement and delivery has placed the project on a solid pathway for success.

    Commissioning of the manual phases of operations is scheduled for late 2018 and a transition to full automation will follow shortly after.
